Microsoft has now launched a new anti-virus program called Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). It is still available only for countries like America, China, Brazil and Israel, but it will soon be available for other countries too. It's codename is Morro. It can be downloaded from it's official website www.microsoft.com/security_essentials
Basically this software guards the PC from trojans, viruses, spywares & rootkits. Once installed this software automatically updates for latest virus definitions. Microsoft has launched 'Morro' because, the previous security program (Windows Live One Care) was not very much successful. When the 'Morro' project is finished, Microsoft will close down Windows Live One Care.
There are many anti-virus programs available for free download like McAfee, AVG, Kaspersky, etc. So Microsoft Security Essentials must be an more improved and advanced program than the other security programs.
